  • Positive relationships with faculty/staff/admin

  • Supportive colleague to other regional and/or state CDs 

  • Excellent professional learning leader

  • Devoted to improving learning for all students

Congratulations to the 2022-23 VTCLA Curriculum Director of the Year:

Gwen Carmolli, Colchester School District

Gwen has served in many, many roles in her illustrious career, including, but not limited to:

Paraeducator . Title I Tutor . Long Term Substitute.  Elementary Teacher . Instructional Leader . Interim Director of Curriculum .

Gwen currently serves as:

Director of Curriculum, CSD

  • President of CVEDC

  • President of VTCLA

  • Board Member of Snelling Center for Government

  • Chair of Advisory Council on Literacy 

Gwen earned her Undergraduate degree (UVM), Math Leader Certificate (Grafton Leadership Institute), Data Training Certificate (Center for Performance Assessment), Masters Degree (SMC), Vermont Leadership Institute (Snelling Center for Government), Certificate of Advanced Education Leadership (Harvard) 

Gwen has worked in Colchester School District for her full career, beginning as a student teacher at Porters Point School  - a true green and blue CSD Laker!

Her collaborative spirit, optimistic outlook, and dedication to learning are greatly appreciated by all those fortunate to work with Gwen over the years.
