At the Joint Meeting in May, VTCLA recognizes a Curriculum Director of the Year

Extensive contributions to curriculum, instruction, and assessment in their district(s)
Dedication to students & families
Positive relationships with faculty/staff/admin
Supportive colleague to other regional and/or state CDs
Excellent professional learning leader
Devoted to improving learning for all students
Congratulations to the 2025-26 VTCLA Curriculum Director of the Year:
Michael Berry, Montpelier Roxbury School district
Mike is the Director of Curriculum and Technology for Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools. He holds a B.S. in Children's Literature and Education from Castelton State College, M. Ed in Educational Leadership from Union Institute and University, and a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
Mike has served in several capacities within Vermont's educational community, ranging from a Kindergarten teacher in East Montpelier and a Principal in Underhill to his current role in Montpelier. Mike has served on the VTCLA Executive Board, supported new Vermont leaders as a mentor, and is a member of the explAInED podcast.
